Logo-a-gogo: Branding Pop Culture by Rian Hughes
Talk and Book Signing
Date and Time: Thursday the 15th of March, 7.30 till 9 pm
Venue: Gosh London, 1 Berwick Street, Soho, London, W1F 0DR, United Kingdom
Rian Hughes will be giving a talk and Q&A at Gosh! Comics to celebrate the launch of his new book on pop culture branding, Logo-a-gogo.
Rian Hughes embodies the word prolific. Since starting work in ’80s his work in illustration, graphic design, and typography have come to define an aesthetic: clean, chameleon-like but always distinctive. Now in his latest book, Logo-a-gogo, he gives us a peek behind the scenes, charting the design process for some of his most famous logos, including Batman and Robin, Spider-Man, the X-Men, Captain America and Wolverine along with many others from a vast range of clients.
With an introduction by Grant Morrison, the Eisner award-winning comics writer and longtime Hughes collaborator, this is an amazing resource for designers, typographers, and comic book illustrators to draw on in brand identity and other graphic design projects. We hope you can make, it's sure to be a fascinating night, but if you can't and you'd like a signed copy please pre-order.
